Albany, Western Australia

Albany, which was first settled in 1827, is Western Australia's oldest regional centre with all the facilities you would expect in a city but with the joys of country living. Albany has a wide range of shops, a hospital, medical and dental facilities, and restaurants and pubs. The town is 4.5 hours' drive or a 1- hour flight south of Perth. About 30,000 people live in Albany, with another 20,000 in the surrounding region. The Great Southern region has inspiring karri forests, the grandeur of the Stirling Ranges and the spectacular southern coastline. The region has many vineyards producing some of Australia's best wines. A mild climate, unspoilt natural beauty and rich cultural experiences make Albany a very special place to live.

Albany Centre

The Albany Centre is located in the historic Old Post Office building at 35 Stirling Terrace, a short walk from the town centre and close to cafes and shops. With funding from State and Federal governments, this heritage building has been meticulously restored and refurbished, providing excellent facilities for classes, group and private study and after-class socialising. All students have use of modern, well-equipped computer laboratories with after-hours access.
