Policies and Procedures for CRE Esperance
As a student at Curtin University of Technology, Centre for Regional Education you are part of the Curtin community and as such, have certain rights and responsibilities of which you need to be aware. These are detailed at Centre for Regional Education Policies and Procedures.
You also need to be aware that there are additional policies and issues that apply specifically to your regional location (in addition to the Curtin and CRE policies), including:

Education Campus - Library & Learning Centre
Centre for Regional Education students can have access to computer / audio-visual equipment at the LLC should they need to make presentations etc.- All equipment must be booked and tested before use.
- BOOK equipment with staff at the Information Desk. (9071 9613)
- TEST equipment at least 1/2 hour before class
- LLC staff are only available to assist in training students how to use the equipment between 8.30am and 5.00pm Mon-Thurs, and 8.30am to 4.00pm Friday
- IT staff are only available between 8.30am and 11.30am weekdays to resolve technical issues. (9071 9608)
- It is the student's responsibility to set up the equipment before use, well before class starts.
- Library staff are not available to help students with equipment.
- Equipment available:
- 1 x fixed dataprojector in Computer Lab
- 1 x mobile dataprojector for use in other rooms
- 1 x laptop computer for use with dataprojector - LLC prefers students to use these, but students can bring their own
- overhead projectors
- video players
- dvd players
- All equipment must be booked and tested before use.
- Guidelines for CRE Students Experiencing Computer / Network Problems
at Esperance Community Education Campus - Library & Learning Centre
- If you have difficulties initially logging on to the network, check the details you have input and try again.
- Should this fail you only have one more attempt at logging on before the system will create a block.
- If you are blocked out wait for at least 30 minutes and try again. This should allow sufficient time for the system to reset itself.
- If you are still having problems please see your Client Services Officer.
- Please report printing problems to staff at the LLC Information Desk.
Note: staff are only available 8.30 am to 5.00 pm Mon - Thurs, 8.30am to 4.00pm Friday. - If you are having problems accessing Curtin services e.g. OASIS or WebCT please report this to your Client Services Officer, not LLC staff.
- Library staff are unable to assist students with computer and network problems.
