Kalgoorlie is a vibrant mining town which boasts the largest open pit mine in the country - the Superpit. The Kalgoorlie Campus is located adjacent to the CBD. Co-located on the one campus are the Centre for Regional Education (CRE), Western Australian School of Mines (WASM), Centre for the Management of Arid Environments (CMAE), Curtin's Vocational and Education Training Centre (VTEC) and the Senior Campus of the Eastern Goldfields Senior High School (EGSHS).
